Company History

1972 Skilled machinists, Jim PAZdierski and Stan MACauley founded Pazmac Enterprises Ltd. with the goal of providing superior precision machining services.

1977 Businessman and marketing specialist Steve Scarlett joined Pazmac as General Manager to refine the organization and grow the business. With strong direction and a team of highly skilled workers, the company grew rapidly throughout the 1970s.The customer base expanded to include OEMs in the forestry and mining sector.

1978 Steve Scarlett bought 50 per cent of the company.

1986 Steve Scarlett became sole owner of the company. With the addition of computerized production machinery, productivity increased dramatically. Sales revenues grew 10 to 15 per cent each year throughout the 1980s. The customer base expanded to new industry sectors including pulp and paper, marine, and construction.

1987 Pazmac purchased a second CNC lathe.

1989 Pazmac purchased its first CNC Vertical Machining Centre.

1993 Pazmac won two major accounts and added two new CNC lathes which significantly increased precision machining capacity.

1995 Pazmac achieved ISO 9002 certification.

1996 Pazmac purchased another CNC lathe.

1997 Pazmac moved into a technologically advanced custom manufacturing facility in Langley BC, designed by architect Christopher Bozyk. 1999 The company added a Horizontal Machining Centre, Coordinate Measuring Machine and a large CNC Turning Centre. Global Shop fully integrated manufacturing software was successfully implemented.

2003 Through a well executed Strategic Plan for growth, Pazmac now employs 32 people. To provide additional value added to our clients, our top technical person is promoted to Process Manager to assist in design for manufacturability. Pazmac achieves ISO 9001:2000 certification. Pazmac builds a new 2000 square foot gymnasium to better accommodate employee workouts. The Canadian Labour and Business Centre features Pazmac in a Healthy Workplace Study.
